Church History
In November of 1992, the call went
out to Pastors Johnny and Sharon Burns (who were previous members) to come over
to Macedonia and help us. Through prayer and consultation with their Pastor Dr.
Watts, they accepted the call to come here to New Life. Under their tutelage
the Lord began to resurrect and restore the ministry. The prophetic words that
the Lord has spoken over this house are now coming to past.
“And I will restore to you the years
that the locus hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the
palmerworm, my great army which sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and
be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.” Joel
2:25-26
As our pastors began to preach a
holistic gospel to this house, restoration began, and we witnessed the
fulfillment of Joel 2.
Today, New
Life Church has over three hundred members, we have spent more than a quarter
of a million dollars in property upkeep and improvements, we support seven missions, two of them foreign. We employ two full time pastors,
seven part time staffers, pay nine ministry support persons. All
of this without any outside help or solicitation. Today we together as a
church stands totally debt free to God be the glory!
To God be the glory for all of the things that he has done
through each one of us.
